U.S. and Russian space agencies suffered a huge embarrassment recently, when Canada (yes, Canada!) sent the first Lego mini figure into space.
17 year old Mathew Ho and Asad Muhammad did the work with a helium balloon outfitted with four cameras. The first of the videos they collected of the process can be seen above. Lego has responded with a congratulatory letter from brand relations director Michael McNally.
Why the two young men chose a generic mini figure rather than one of the many Lego space-themed figures is uncertain.
