Last month we steered you toward a thread at RebelScum.com dealing with vintage Star Wars figures.
This month, we head over to TheFwoosh.com’s thread discussing the Avengers motion picture. The pertinent portion begins on page 28, where a poster called gearseffect (who posts with a surfeit of improper grammar and misspelling) is upset with the exclusion of Henry Pym and Janet Van Dyne from the film. Eventually, he posts:
WARNING: THE BELOW FOLLOWING SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A SCRIPT FOR AN AVENGERS MOVIE!
Unless you want to piss every Avengers fan off and just write Hank in as a Nobody who just happens to create Ultron and gets killed by him. Then Ultron Creates the Vision, who backstabes Ultron and Joins the Avengers. But to Stop Ultron the Avengers need to talk to Ultrons dead makers Ex-wife Jan, who’ll have 1 scean in the Movie!
WARNING: THE ABOVE SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR A SCRIPT TO AN AVENGERS MOVIE AND I HOPE TO HELL IT WILL NOT BE USED AS SUCH!
The other posters, employing mock grammar and spelling, then proceed to convince him that Joss Whedon actually has that very idea in mind, and may have even gotten the idea from gearseffect’s very post.
Incredibly, he seems to go for it hook, line, and sinker:
I will not Stand for Hank Pym being some Red Shirt in the Avengers Movie…This is Bull I am fed up with it the Comic Movies Have Failed. So here’s my F*ck U to Comic Movies…So Long @sshats Call me when you want to make a good movie I’ll help ya by Kicking your @sses for trying F**ck it all Up!
Yeah, you probably shouldn’t come up with ideas anymore. The producers of these movies search The Fwoosh for ideas pretty regularly. Most of the stuff in Wolverine: Origins was our fault. Sorry.
The thread derails from there for a couple of more pages. To give you an idea of the path it takes:
Prostate stimulation, messed up ways to kill cats, and fucked up looking Iron Man armor….this thread has everything.
There you have it, folks. If you’re bored on your coffee break, why not click over and weigh in? I heard that Janet Von Din ala the Wahsp is going to be played by Tina Yothers. It’s true!
UPDATE: It seems the thread has been locked by the moderators of the site. Sigh. This always seems to happen with the Threads of the Month.
